Jennifer Goepfert

In her previous life, Jen was a high school English and reading teacher. Today, Jen provides responsive teaching and equity-focused coaching and professional development for a number of districts around Minnesota, bridging the gap between practice and outcomes in a variety of settings: rural and urban, public and charter. She is one of the co-founders of the equity-focused educator book club, Class Hacks. She is also the Head Geek behind Teacherly.org.

Tonya Wilhelm

Tonya Wilhelm, LICSW, is a therapist, clinical supervisor, and consultant. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of social services, working primarily with children, adults, and families who have experienced trauma. As a provider, it became clear that professionals are deeply impacted by the trauma they witness on the job, often termed vicarious trauma or secondary trauma, and they require adequate support to sustain themselves in their work. Based on this experience, Tonya also works to support those professionals and agencies in healing and thriving as they navigate the effects of working with people who are impacted by trauma. Tonya has a master’s degree in Social Work and is certified in Trauma-Effective Leadership from the University of Minnesota. For more information, visit www.wilhelmtherapy.com.

Kara Cisco

Kara is a National Board Certified teacher at St. Louis Park High School in Minnesota, where she works full time teaching 9th-grade Civics and 12th-grade Ethnic Studies. Kara was named the 2020 Minnesota Social Studies Teacher of the Year. She is also a contributor for EdAllies and co-facilitates Class Hacks, an equity-focused book club for teachers in the Twin Cities area.

  • Is there an enrollment date for courses?

    All of our courses are completely self-paced. You can start whenever you are ready!

  • How long do I have to finish a course?

    As long as you need! That's the beauty of self-paced courses. If you enroll now and need to pause and come back later--even months later--we will be right here waiting for you!

  • Do these courses have a live instructor?

    Because these are self-paced, most of the courses do not have an instructor on the other side waiting for you to finish and turn in assignments. So no pressure!

  • Can I get Continuing Education Credits for these courses?

    Once you finish a course, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. Renewal requirements vary from state to state so you will need to check with your school or district to be sure the course meets your local requirements before you enroll.

  • Is my work graded?

    Because this is a self-paced course and is meant to serve as an opportunity for personal and professional growth, your work will not be graded. Your quizzes will be scored so you will have an opportunity to reflect on your progress, but there is no overall course grade.

  • Can a group from my school enroll in a course together for a discount?
